Edward F. Flanagan and George Robertson and Company, 1888, First edition. A very good copy in original green embossed cloth boards with gilt design on the top board and slightly dulled gilt lettering on the spine. Age tanning of the edges but otherwise the contents are fine. This copy has numerous interesting association marks. On the verso of the title page is an inscription SIGNED by the authors brother (and publisher) Edward Flanagan presenting the copy to Bishop Hutchinson, the Bishop of Cooktown. There is then on the verso of the front free endpaper an inscription form the Bishop gifting the book to a convent. Finally, the front pastedown has the bookplate of renowned anthropologist James Edge-Partington. Scans available if required.
