T and W Boone, 1841. First edition. This 2 volume set is collated and complete and has been professionally recased in the original brown cloth boards with the original spines laid down. The top 40mm of the spine of volume 2 is missing. New hinges and headbands. The endpapers are original. All of the original contents, including advertisements, etc have been retained. The 2 maps are undamaged and in their correct positions - with the folding map in the front pocket of volume 1 and the linen backed map bound in in the correct position in volume 1. The edges are untrimmed and aged browned with light wear. Original owners bookplates to the front free pastedowns with the owners signature and date (1843) also on the front pastedown of volume 2. Some scattered foxing throughout. Overall a very sound and original set of this important work. Scans available if required.
