Over 240 early original photographs scanned and printed in color tell a vivid story of Fremantle from early interaction with the Aborigines through the development of port and town, the goldrushes and wars, to 1950. More than 25,000 words of text, which include commentary by Phillip Adams and George Seddon, background material, maps, and an index, make this a serious reference work as well as a visual delight for all ages.

2003, Limited edition. A fine, unmarked copy of this superb book. Bound in black cloth with gilt lettering and an inset photograph on the top board. This copy comes complete in a custom presentation box with ribbon which is also covered in matching black cloth with gilt lettering. This copy comes complete with the original invitation to the launch which is hand inscribed and SIGNED by the author.
