1845, First edition. A near fine two volume set. This set has been recently professionally rebound into black half leather over green boards. The spines have 5 raised bands, two burgundy title panels and gilt decoration and lettering. New endpapers. The edges age tanned and there are a couple of old library stamps but otherwise the contents are in very clean and undamaged condition with only very rare light foxing. This set has obviously had very little use as confirmed by the fact that the last section of Volume 2 still remains uncut. This copy is missing the 2 loose maps as it very often the case with this item. A really superb set. Scans available if required.
