T. and W. Boone, 1841. First edition. A superb copy of this iconic work of Western Australian history. These volumes have been treated to a full professional rebinding and are now bound in brown half leather over mustard cloth boards. The spines have 5 raised bands and gilt lettering. The top edges are gilt. New endpapers. The contents show why they receive such attention as they are complete and in near fine condition as are the 2 folding maps which are in a pocket at the rear of volume 1. Apart from light foxing the contents are very fine. I would hazard there is no finer copies on the market. These volumes came from the library of eminent West Australian collector Graham Levey and have his bookplate on the pastedowns. Further scans available if required.
