SECONDHAND BOOKS | GARDENING

A group of mainly wind-pollinated families make up this group. They range in size from the Nettles (Urticaceae) to the She-Oaks (Casuarinaceae), and in distribution from the tropics to temperate rainforests and even arid zone woodlands. Some families such as Betulaceae (Alder) and Ulmaceae (Elms) contain mainly introduced species, while others like Moraceae (Figs) are mainly native. A total of nine families, 31 genera and 153 species are included.

1989, First edition. A fine, unmarked copy in a near fine d/w with the usual sunfading on the spine.
