Over Half a Million Careful Owners : A 75-Year History of PSIS, 1928-2003

Author(s): Gordon Bryce

SECONDHAND BOOKS | BUSINESS

Since PSIS was founded 75 years ago, well over half a million New Zealanders have been owner-members of this co-operative financial services provider. This book tells the story of PSIS's foundation and dramatic growth, its close brush with disaster in 1979, and its subsequent spectacular recovery. Today, while not a registered bank, PSIS is one of the largest second-tier personal banking providers in New Zealand, with branches nationwide - and it is still owned by its customers. Gordon Bryce has taught at Victoria University of Wellington and Queensland University of Technology. He is the author of "Co-operative Structures in Global Business" (2002), and with Simon Ville he wrote "The Development of Modern Business".

2005. First edition. A near fine copy only marked by light bumping to the corners of the wraps.
