1959. First edition. A good copy of the very rare first edition of this iconic work. The turquoise boards are lightly soiled and edge rubbed and the edges and endpapers are age tanned with some soiling. The front hinge is weakened and partially repaired with tape. The half title page has a faint previous owners name and a square of what looks like shadowing from an old bookplate. The d/w appears to be a very good facsimile copy and is now in a protective cover. This copy has been SIGNED and dated (not inscribed) by the author. Scans available if required.
